It's been a long time since I've posted, about a year and a half, so let me update briefly. I plan on getting better at blogging and being more consistent, having a baby that likes to be held all the time gets in the way of having two free hands! So lets start...The light of our lives, Lucia, was born on March 12, 2012. She was almost two weeks late, and I was thrilled to just get her out of me! When she was just 8 weeks old we packed our bags and put her on a plane for the first time--we spent 11 weeks in South America driving around Ecuador and Peru. I'll be honest, she was a better traveler than Stiv or I. Not a peep from her at all!

So, our time spent with family in Peru was extra special, getting to spend time with Viterbo, Candy, Belen, Gladith, Karina, Boris, Alenka, and the rest of Stiv's family. Everyone loved Lucia, and I can't wait for her to spend more time living with her family down there.

Now things are back to normal for us. Stiv is back to work at Boeing and I just started looking for a job--I'm looking for a managerial position at Boeing or elsewhere that has competitive benefits to offer. If you know anyone hiring for an MBA, let me know! =)

I also enjoy spending time studying politics--Did you know that in Peru if you don't vote for an election, even a local one, you are fined and have to pay? When we returned to Peru this May, Stiv owed more than $100 (yes, thats dollars..some people make that much in a whole month in Peru!) in fines for missing elections! In America we have no idea how good we have it, we take civic responsibility for granted.   More on this later...
